How many theories have there been about his love life, his religion, and the years for which no records exist? Now, with Looking for Cardenio, Jean Rae Baxter has entered the lists. In this mystery novel she examines the puzzle surrounding a play last seen in 1613. There are scholars who would sell their soul for an authentic manuscript of Cardenio. There are others who would kill.
